Fundraising ideas for Study Abroad Program…?
I am going to Costa Rica next summer for a Study Abroad program. I need to raise about $3500 for the trip. I have a summer job lined up but that money has to go to pay for my rent, food, and gas. I have also looked at scholarships and I can get one that is up to $1000 through the school, but that still leaves about $2500 to raise. Please help…
I think you should focus on bringing awareness to Costa Rica, since you are visiting it. Maybe sell little bracelets using beads that are Costa Rican colors, like the color of the ocean and sand, etc. You could also sell candy bars to raise about, at most 600 dollars. We used that for a fundraiser. You could have a yard sale and sell sweaters, because you will not need sweaters in Costa Rica. You could sell some of your non-important belongings off e-bay. You could ask for donations from neighbors and classmates. You could also do the scratch-off fund raiser. You get a scratch card from the website (I forget the link) and ask if people are willing to donate. They scratch the card and donate the amount on the card. You can make a lot of money off of those.
